Upon entering the zoo were bird cages.  The one on the right was round and beyond that was a turtle pond.  Off to the far  right was another pond by the railroad tracks.  This pond had was built by David Caudle a colony  baker.  As you look down the picture, you can see the lion cage at the far end of this picture.  The Stone House is in front of the large roof cage as seen in this picture. A monkey house was built just inside the entrance. ((Israelite House of David website)
